Election Mouse

Who We Are

Brian Reich
Co-Founder
brian@electionmouse.com

Brian is the chief political advisor and content lead for ElectionMouse. He is a political junkie. In the womb, he unknowingly joined his parents for literature drops and fundraisers. As a small boy, he wore t-shirts and campaign buttons collected on the trail. If there had been Re-elect Jimmy Carter lunch boxes, he probably would have carried one. Throughout high school Brian volunteered for phone banks and yard-sign duty, earning his first paying campaign job at the age of 14. Since then, he has worked dozens of campaigns across the country; student elections at the University of Michigan and local initiatives and city council races in Seattle. At 18, while working in Connecticut, Brian became the youngest person in the United States to serve as Campaign Manager for a Congressional campaign.

Most recently, Brian served as Vice President Gore's briefing book director - responsible for coordinating and managing the materials that the Vice President used to prepare each day. He traveled the country with the Vice President - visiting multiple cities and attending dozens of events each day. He was nicknamed by members of the national media as the "Mouse" (for the character in the Matrix and his technological understanding) and enjoyed regular ridicule from the Vice President for his quirky work habits and ability to fall asleep in any position, anywhere.

Brian has worked for President's Committee on the Arts and Humanities and the Presidential Inaugural Committee. He served as Assistant to the Director of Presidential Speechwriting at the White House and in Vice President Gore's speechwriting office as a writer and researcher. Brian currently serves as Fundraising Chair for United Leaders, a national nonpartisan non-profit group at Harvard University, which encourages the millennial generation to pursue honorable careers in political service. He is also a member of the Clinton/Gore Alumni Web Council. Brian attended the University of Michigan from 1997-1999 and currently attends Columbia University. He is a political science major and coxswain for the Columbia Men's Heavyweight Crew.
